He was valued at £850K but evan offers of £9M +incentives were being rejected. Before you think I'm just yet another idiot thinking that the chairman should just roll over, let me tickle his tummy and give up his star player for £2.50 and a bag of chips. Let tell you I signed the player a week later for £5M What happened was some club made an offer to loan him so I did too. I offered £1M plus £4M future fee. Despite saying they were not interested in loaning out the player they accepted so that was that.
