AcidBurn
Just wondering what the best players are that people have signed to an MLS team as a designated player and the best people have got in the A-League as a marquee player.
Twizted_seed
Willy Topp for NQ Fury before the patch came in. Him and Luka Senicanen both signed within the first week. Became A-League beasts.
charlo116
Gil for Sydney FC. He's a Brazilian striker who i managed to sign on a free for the second season, definently acl quality, he won me so many games there and in the a-league.
themodelcitizen
somebody at FM North America got Hargreaves for TFC
tom_numbers
For Central Coast I had a couple. Goran Ljubojevic, who averaged a goal a game for 5 years (seriously, check him out - he's definitely at least Bolton quality), Brett Emerton was pretty wicked for a season, Dylan McGowan from Hearts looked good but ended up being rubbish, and James Brown (not that one), an Aussie central midfielder who was quite possibly Australia's best central midfielder. rancer890
I had Ruben de la Red with New York Red Bulls in FM09...too bad he can't play football anymore irl.
La Furia Roja
a mate of mine for Robert Pires (38) at Sydney FC, retired after 1 season but was very decent still
stinger061
I think the game could use some slight tweaks in this area. In my experience it's really difficult to get any highly recognised players into these leagues when in reality it's starting to happen on a reasonably regular basis. Not to sure what needs to be changed but players late in their careers should be more open to moves to the MLS and A-League rather than simply retiring or rotting in the reserves of their European clubs
Twizted_seed
well Ronaldo, the fat brazillian one, was shopped around the a-league last month but was asking too much. This is IRL.

This is IRL. He's earning a reported US$1 million a month at Corinthians. He really has nothing to prove in the A-League...

boloslick
frustrating theres no 'guest player' type thing in the a-league... that way you could sign a real super star for 4 weeks like has been done in the real a-league
