parachute payment?

Recommended Posts

if a team gets relegated from the premier league then they get parachute payments for 2 seasons to help cover the bigger overheads. if that team then get promoted 1st season back to the premier (i.e newcastle last season) then they dont recieve the payment for the 2nd season and instead its split between all the clubs in the football league

the clubs who get relegated from EPL get a massive 8 figure sum for 3 years afterwards, other payments get given to all the other teams every year.

They get four years now. £16m a year for the first 2 years and then £8m for the 3rd and 4th year. If a relegated team goes up at the first attempt then on FM if you are in the Championship you get £400k I think and £50k(like someone has mentioned) for League 2. Although im not to sure what you get for League 1.
