phantom1998
Would be cool if every Man Utd game around Feb 6th in FM would start off with players standing in a circle for a minute of silence. Maybe something for future versions?

Chappers72
Sorry like buts thats a silly idea, where would it end, they would have to stick in Ibrox, Hillsboro, Hysel to name a few And as far as I know Man U to not have a minute silence every year anyway for Munich (however wait to be corrected by a Man U fan)
turn it upto 11
do man united do it every year, just thought this one was special because it the 50th or 60th, so for my ignorance ive just forgot which one it is
cornelius11
yeah i agree with chappers. man utd arent the only team to have a tragedy on their hands, e.g motherwell most recently with the death of phil odonnell. would be nice if there was really specific stuff like that but there would be fans all over saying why is this in it and this isnt. phantom1998
it's just an idea.. of course it would be implemented for all clubs. Makes playing experience more interesting. I remember watching games around feb and they always wear black armbands and have minute of silence. Not sure I need someone to confirm since I'm in Canada and not all man utd games get televised here.
xx2olegendxx
There is no minutes silence every year at the closest home game to Munich. However fans gather before the game under the Munich clock and sing the flowers of Manchester to pay respect. Black armbands are also worn by both teams, it has been that way as long as I remember. My personal view is that I wouldnt want to see something like that in the game, just wouldn't seem right to me. Plus as has been said where would you draw the line. snootyjim
I disagree completely with the idea of implementing it into the match engine or whatever. A simple message in the inbox would be a nice touch... perhaps something like "Several thousand fans gathered under the Munich clock today to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster." But to say the least, it certainly isn't a feature that has any need to be added.
Norville Rodgers
Personally, events such as this don't need to be in the game. These are deeply moving and significant best remembered and commemorated in real life, rather than a small, cosmetic mention on what is, after all, a game. I'm not moaning about why people would want to say this, believe me, but leave the serious real stuff out of the game. Besides, there's plenty that (imo) needs to fixed before adding cosmetic touches.
SWaRFeGa
How is that "cool"?
Bongo-Bongo
TBH, to me, it would seem a bit tasteless. I fully understand that tragic events such as the Munich Air Disaster and Hillsbrough are important events to clubs such as Man Utd, Liverpool, and all the other clubs that have been involved in such incidents, but to me, adding this would seemingly tivialise them. Poor idea
niktheblade1
I must agree, highlighting the death of anyone for someone else's "entertainement" is a tasteless and bad idea. I'm sure that's not what you meant Phantom, but that's how it would be perceived by many.

LFC Lloydy
Like some others have already said, it would be tasteless and disrespectful. The reason behind it may be well meaning but it would seem as if SI and the gamers are exploiting what is a tragedy. Personally, I would be disgusted for any game to include tragedies such as Hillsborough and Munich even if it was included in a tasteful way. It just isn't worth including it, you would get very little from it and yet you would upset many and potentially cheapen the concept of a minute silence. It's not worth discussing anyway as SI would never do it, just like the way never include death in the game.

Jimbokav1971
If you are going to put stuff like this in the game then what next? Planes crashing in teh game? I really don't think so. There are many ways to remember disasters such as this. Recreating it in the game is NOT a good idea.
DaveRH
To be frank, I'd consider this crass. I appreciate the sentiment but I think that commercialisation of any event like the Munich air disaster, Heysel, Hillsborough etc is plain wrong. It's a feature that I would object to strongly and I'd imagine that vast majority of football fans would feel the same.
cornelius11
bet phantom is sorry he opened his mouth now! The idea is nice yes, to respect those who passed but i agree with most of the folk that many people would find it inappropriate. tbh, i probably wouldnt, it happened anyway and whether or not SI did put a tribute in the game would be irrelevent.
oggie26
i personally would have this in the game. what makes clubs like liverpool and man utd so special is these events that had taken place. it brings the club together just like death in the family does. i think history of the clubs is important nowdays when it seems like football is becoming more and more about money and business. pyewackett
Damn it was was supposed to type don't flame the poor guy. As I don't think he meant it be cool to be cool, more as a cosmetic touch. But let people repay there respects as they already do now in real life. What's being a Man UTD fan got to do with it. But where do you draw the line. Nice thought but unlikly it'll ever be introduced into the game.
Jibsa
No thanks. Try Manchester United Football Manager if its in development. Mind it would only consist of unlimited transfer funds which the player would buy 7 and find only one was any good. Also there wouldnt be any tactics screens but mind games and sly comments would be 80% of game play. No offence intended. Respect to all those folk who lost there lives 50 years ago.
