need a bit of advice

going to buy a new laptop. have 2 options here. please bare in mind that the only game that i will be playing on it will be fm. was hoping 1 of these would cover me for 3years or so!

processor: intel core i5-450m (2.4ghz, 4 threads, 3m cache)

operating system: windows 7 home premium 64-bit

memory: 4gb

graphics: 1gb ati mobility radeon hd 5470

hard drive: 640gb

The top one, isnt the choice obvious? better processor, better hard drive memory, and the same of everything else.

Both of them are well over spec for FM. I imagine though that if you want to play the newest games, 3 years will be pushing it, as there are a few games already that kind of demand those specs. I would go with the first one if you have the money, and shop around to see if you can get the same or equivalent at a better deal.

You might want to check out the graphics card if you plan to play you FM matches in 3D match view. Laptops have a history of not playing the 3D :/

Oh yeah didn't see that it was a laptop you were looking at. Unless you need one buy a desktop version instead.

Pros: Upgradeable;

performance;

value;

your pants don't burn.

Cons: Can't carry it around.

o! ok! yeah would want to play 3d match view. but how do i find if that graphics card will do that?
