Majick
Hi all, I have a long running game on 06 which I decided tonight to move from my old XP laptop to my newer Vista laptop. Unfortunately, none of the saves will load even though I ran through a couple of weeks on the old laptop to make sure they hadn't got corrupted. A quick search suggests this may be related to the different OSs on the laptops. Is there any way around this? Thanks in advance for any help! Nidzumi
I haven't had issues switching between systems and I use an FM10 save on OS/X and Windows 7. Maybe it's a FM06 issue but with the newer versions I haven't had an issues. Make sure they are patched to the same version?
Majick
Yeah, I installed 06 on both tonight and even used the same patch program on both - copied it over on a USB drive with the FM2006 game/tactics etc. folder from the My Documents folder
Nidzumi
Must be an FM06 issue then. Maybe try starting a new game on one then porting that over, just in case your file is broken. Like I say, FM10 allows cross-OS saves, I use a USB stick to save all my games on.

I do this too, and recently moving my save to a faster computer. I noticed though, after a few seasons in the Germay squad reset back to greyed out players and so forth (fake.inc), even though this file is deleted. You experienced any change? Also can you move the hall of fame?
