Reserve League

Recommended Posts

Hopefully the English Premier Reserve League be restructured for FM2011. The only link I have is from the Liverpool FC page and I appreciate some may not want to click on that  so I'll paste some of the article here:

The league has been extended to a 19-game season and will allow John McMahon's side a more competitive edge.

As a result of some clubs not participating in the league, the Barclays Premier League board has changed the format of the league for season 2010-11.

Each club will play the other teams in their group home and away, and then once against all other sides (equally divided home and away).

Liverpool are in Northern Group B along with Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Everton and Sunderland.

In Northern Group A are Bolton Wanderers, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Wigan Athletic.

In the Southern Group are Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion, West Ham United and Wolves.

The winners of the two Northern Groups play off to determine the Northern League winners. The Northern League winners then play off against the Southern Group winners to determine the Barclays Premier Reserve League Play Off winners.
