Colorado
Still don't know if there's any difference between getting a report card or scouting a player for just one match - can anyone finally confirm this?
SCIAG
Yes, I occasionally notice small differences, and there are bigger ones if you use attribute masking.
Brose
Really? I never scout matches since they are a waste of time in my opinion and simply used reports by my 20/20 scouts. Just make sure your scout has high determination as well and he would be able to discover more hidden tendencies and attributes
DSYoungEsq
That last post, of course, assumes you have access to perfect scouts. When you are a manager of a lower level team, you are often making do with people who's ability to asses ability is somewhat more limited (often to the point where you wonder if simply randomly guessing wouldn't be more accurate!). In such cases, it's much better to get a look at the player than to rely on the reputation that a report card can offer. However, one has to balance the increased accuracy against the loss of time it requires for your scout to stop scouring the backwaters of Ireland in order to head back over to Wimbledon to see if that guy really can hit the target three out of every 10 times he fires at it.
