Can't accept the length of contract currently on the table

Hello all,

I'm trying to sell Oscar Ustari and have received offers from two clubs however Ustari keeps rejecting both of their contract offers due to the fact that he 'can't accept the length of contract currently on the table'. Has this happened to anyone? If so how did you manage to remedy the situation and sell the player?

Have you checked that you are actually offering him the contract length he actually wants.

If you are, you can always offer him a large signing on fee to sway him

There isnt much you can do. If Club X doesnt meet player X contract requirements then they wont join. There isnt much you can do either.

Have you transfer listed him and set his squad status to 'not needed'?

Yeah make sure he is transfer listed, but like Forest says if he doesnt want to go he often just wont go.

Often what happens to me is that a player will ask me to pay some of his wages for a season or two in order for him to agree to move. i hate this but sometimes agree depending on my wage bill

Yeah he's been placed on the transfer list and his squad status is not needed but he won't seem to budge! Cheers for your responses guys
