Unbeaten Season! - but I didn't win the league

I'm not sure if anyone has ever done this before - I managed to go a whole league season unbeaten but I didn't win the league beacause Man City were also unbeaten and scored more points.

I've won the league for the last two seasons so I'm a bit disapointed that I couldn't make it three in a row but I still have a Champions League final and an FA Cup final to look forward too. Has anyone else had any similar experiences?

That is unlucky but still a good achievement. Who have you got in the Champions League Final and the FA Cup Final.

I've got Marseille in the Champions League and Man Utd in the FA Cup. Interesting because I beat Marseille in the 2013 Euro Cup final and Man Utd in the 2012 FA Cup final.

Joking aside though, looks like City had an exceptional season too, so you were unlucky that your team didn't win the league.

I was a bit unlucky, but the previous two seasons I was a bit lucky to win it on the last day. In fact last season I won on goal difference!

I've been on the opposite end of that me (Everton) and Man City had 94 points and they won it on GD. To make matters worse it was a last minute equaliser agaisnt me that brought this about.

I've won the Champions League final 2-1 thanks to goals for Miralem Pjanic and Angel Di Maria. I actually beat Man City in the semi-final, they beat me 1-0 at their place and I beat them 3-0 at home.

Happened to me with Atletico Madrid. Finished the season with 94 points I think, had the best goal difference in the league but it wasn't enough to stop Real from winning it Managed to win it the season after though even if Real scored even more points this time.

Won the FA Cup, one of the most exciting matches I have ever played on FM. It almost deserves its own thread!

With 14 draws I'd say you were pretty lucky to stay unbeaten

That's a quality way to beat Man Utd in a Cup final!

Often Man Utd score the late goals, and get the penalties when they need them most, not that time.

you may have remained unbeaten but 14 draws? that's crazy. It would actually been beneficial to you if you had loose a few games and win some of those draws.
