CGE97
Ok so a 24 yo striker regen for my La Liga winning Villareal is rated 3.5 stars (about 170 CA) but all his stats that matter are about 9-13. The worst are Finishing 11, Off ball 6, Pace 8 and technique 4. A higher CA should mean higher stats ??
Martyr1777
maybe he's got good hidden stats that are bumping up the star rating? How good are the scouting skills for the guys giving him that rating? the low pace doesn't matter if he's a good strong target man really.

Martyr1777
The only thing I can think of is it's hidden stats like consistency that's getting the asst's eyes. I've seen them under rate players more then over rate them if they have good stats. But that striker doesn't sounds like he'd be anywhere near a 3.5 on the surface. I would guess its down to one or both of the following: A) Two strong feet, having a high level of "weak foot ability" takes up a large chunk of CA. B) Plays in more than one position resulting in more attributes being rated higher and therefore taking up a larger slice of CA.
