That is because of new registration rules in EPL. The players who don't have to be registred if haven't been given number, will have number ''-1''.

I hope SI have sorted it out for FM 11.

Well, I've got quite a few players aged 21 years or younger who are not registered with a designated shirt number, but they never have a negative number

That happens to me a few times, usually happens when an under 21 player for my team in the premiership comes off the bench

Amazing how this was never fixed in the patch really.

And the fact that under 21 players didn't need a number - a horrible bug.

Am expecting this fixed for FM11.

I think it has to do with the game trying to assign "reserved" (12 for Man City, ie) numbers to under 21 players, then realizing the error, but only being able to fix it with a -1.

Never seen in on the Spanish league, where there are no "reserved" numbers, which is what made me think that.

He had number, because he was registred and given number, although he didn't have to be registred.
