I'll put my choice....

Game Version: CM 03/04

Best Feature: The 1st time media options were made available. Was great stuff!

Best Player: Santiago Fernandez, didnt matter what team I signed him for he'd still bang in 30+ every season!

Why was it great for you?: The 1st time Id ever got my beloved Wigan promoted and built them into a European force.

You're missing CM Italia and CM 95/96 European Edition (the boxset that had all the European leagues) ;)

Game Version: Football Manager 2005

Best Player: Rushden's Andy Burgess

Why was it great for you?: I spent most of my time on that game playing as Rushden and Oxford in one save

Game Version:

Championship Manager 99/00

Championship Manager 00/01 AKA THE GOLDEN YEARS

Championship Manager 01/02

Best Feature: Feeder clubs

Best Player: Saviola and Aimar (River) Kallstrom (Hacken)

Why was it great for you?: Stayed sick from school just to play the game because it was mind blowing.

The power and the illusion that I felt smarter then the coaches I saw on TV.

Game Version: CM 01/02

Best Feature: Being able to decide players position based on where the ball was located was good. Also if you needed a good cheap player just go look at Swedish clubs. Their players were so overrated in game but cheap.

Best Player: Kallstrom, Pennant, Viduka

Why was it great for you?: It was the first CM I got properly addicted to. Had played CM3 and 00/01 but never really got into them. I still play it when I'm bored.

I'm gonna be awkward and give two answers :p

Best ever:

Game Version: FM '10

Best Feature: Probably the TC

Best Player: In terms of quality? Messi (duh). In terms of my favourite, a regen by the name of Joris Michiels

Why was it great for you?: It's the pinnacle of football management simulations (as of now). And while there haven't neccesarily been drastic imporvements in recent years, each game is a bit better than it's predecessors.

Best for it's time:

Game Version: CM 97/98

Best Feature: Hard to pick out any one thing from that long ago

Best Player: Again, too long ago to remember

Why was it great for you?: Just so much fun to play. As I've said above, I can't really remember much in the way of details, but I do remember the sheer enjoyment of playing it.
