BrightLad5
I had a very successful game on FM10 taking BSS strugglers Worcester City on a journey up the league and got about 17 season in. I had won the premier league and the only other goals left for me were the champions league and then possibly manager England in a World Cup. Anyway, as you might of guessed I was extremely annoyed when my laptop decided to pack in completely and I lost the game, which brings me to the point of is it possible to back up a saved game of FM using Steam so that when you access Steam on a new laptop for example, you can retrieve you're game and carry on where you left off? Any input would be grateful thanks!
DivineOne
Not yet, steam is planning to support this in the future though (just not sure how close or far in the future).
BrightLad5
Ah right, I can see it being very popular. I cant be the only one something like that happened to. I bet it would take a lot of memory etc on steam
DivineOne
Well, they're not planning to make it specifically for FM off course.
BrightLad5
yeah as Steam supports many games, FM is the only game i play though haha
Aim_Less
its up to the developer to include steamworks features in the game like the steam cloud , SI has to include it in fm to make that possible , until them get a pen drive and carry our save with you 1gb pan is cheap
Quackje
Its really unlikely this would be something they would do soon. For other games its easier but the save game files for FM tend to be pretty large for this sort of thing so it would take a lot more effort and colaboration between the two parties to work out a way of saving the data without needing much space or you having to upload a few hundred MB every time.
