Obscure Question on Goalie Animations

I've noticed that, on occasion, a keeper will start gesturing to his teammates, as if he's repositioning them or chewing 'em out. Does this actually mean something or is he just flexing for some babe in the stands?

I've noticed that too and i like it alot. I take it that the goalie is pumping his teamates up so they are more focused and motivated. Although it'll most likely just be a random animation. Only someone from SI can give an accurate answer to this.

I think it is just an eye candy. I doubt that it is affecting the game.
