Dob1
I'm Pescara in 2029 on my journeyman save and I'm trying to lure a talented 31 year old striker from Villareal. I have had a £4.5m bid accepted but he wants £40k p/w which would make him my highest earner by about £11k p/w. As pay-as-you-play offers are more common now, is it possible to get him to accept a £25k p/w deal with a high (£15k p/w) appearance bonus if he plays as he's never managed more than 15 games in a season (But has averaged 2 goals every 3 games when he has played). Obviously he has problems with injuries, but will players in FM accept pay as you play deals?
JimbobWWFC
If the appearance fee is high enough, yeah I suppose he might go for it. But it might be difficult to get him to take such a drastic cut in his weekly wage though. I'd also offer a big goal bonus to his contract too
StevoRobbo
Chances are if he's asking for 40k you'll be able t knock him down a bit anyway. In a sense it is possible to offer a pay as you play contract but IMO a player would never accept it. When the option of a PAYP contract is coded into the game, the player will know exactly what you are offering and why, but until then they will think your taking the michael with such an offer.
