OohAahCantona
Is it circumstances? Stats? A combination? I'd love to know! Or is it just Random?
Reganio
Well their are many different reasons, age and injury's probably being the most common. In the game a lot of players retire when they can't get picked up by a club (You would notice this if you ever managed a poor international side). That would be the 3 main one's I would say. Their is also the falling out of love with football like the goalkeeper for some Championship team who retired to start a catering business.
Shaka Sangoma
Not getting selected for the first team coupled with being around 32-35 is also a motivation to retire
BenArsenal
Old age. Injury. Not finding a club. Lost interest.
Hunt
Ive noticed they retire when they become a qualified coach/scout or whatever. I havent seen too many players who could be a coach who continue playing football

trekman
Ive noticed they retire when they become a qualified coach/scout or whatever. I havent seen too many players who could be a coach who continue playing football I've noticed this too. In previous versions there was always plenty of player\coaches or player\managers.
