richmcc
We at PC Gamer spoke to the guys behind Fifa 11 on the PC recently, and they talked a bit about FM2010. I thought you guys might be interested: http://www.pcgamer.com/2010/07/27/fifa-11-hands-on-%E2%80%9Ci-didnt-know-football-manager-%E2%80%9D/ Cheers! Trents
All he said is that he'd never heard of FM Nice plug though
jayahr
Good spot Bit disturbing though, that this guy never heard of the biggest competitor of one of his companies games...
edgar555
Typical EA, this is why their products are inferior, their developers don't live and breathe their subject matter.
ArranoBeltza
Do you guys really think he hasn't heard of FM? He was probably saying that so as not to give publicity to a competitor.
edgar555
Do you guys really think he hasn't heard of FM? He was probably saying that so as not to give publicity to a competitor. How would admitting that he'd heard of FM give them publicity? My post is a more accurate summation I'm sure.
richmcc
He did continue, and was very complimentary about FM. The team's based in Canada - it's less of a presence out there, and apparently it was a real eye-opener for him.
Cougar2010
FM & Fifa are two totally different games tbh and not really competitors. Although I'm still surprised by his lack of knowledge even if he is based in Canada.
rich74
that's funny he cant be serious he must have heard about fm
dankrzyz
I bet he plays FM every night, alone, in the dark, so that no one would ever suspect the lead EA designer loving FM. I bet he wears a suit for cup finals, too.
Brian Shanahan
He did continue, and was very complimentary about FM. The team's based in Canada - it's less of a presence out there, and apparently it was a real eye-opener for him. I'm sorry but them being from Canada should have nothing to do with it. Football is bigish over there, and you always scope out any possible competition, especially the one that's being prodding some serious buttock off your stablemate (FIFAManager) for some time. FrazT
I find it hard to believe that any major player in this industry wont have heard about another competitor- just a plug for the game , so closed.
