Not sure where ive to put this bvut cant find any other suitable place.

Ive searched for this problem I have but im stuck. FM10 wont work on windows 7 unless you install a Direct X update. Problem is when I download an update (there are tones available so not sure which one to use) it asks for a folder to put it in - how an earth am I suppsoed to know where to put it - does anyone know where to put these files?

Doesn't matter which folder you choose. You need to run the setup in that folder after you unpack.

Btw, I believe the update you need is on your fm disk.

I installed Direct X Run-time components but get an error message. Im really not sure what to do next. Ive done searches and read threads but they all point to installing updates which I try and do but get error messeges.

Im not sure which one to download. Ive tried two already but keep getting an error message.

Sorted. You have to place the error message files into the football manager folder. Highly annoying but thats what you gotta do.
