View Full Version : 1st Signing
I was wondering, Who Is The 1st Person You Sign At Most Clubs?? Do You Have A Fav Player, Or Just Someone Cheapish But Great?
A lot depends on the club, but if I have a high enough reputation I always go for Hulk as he is my current favourite player and an absolute goal machine, scoring more than a 1 goal a match average.
The one and only Sergio Aguero
I tend to buy Bernardo from 'Cruzeira' (sp) and miles addison.
Simon Vukcevic and the young Marco Verratti
Willy Topp for some lower league teams.
depends... my first signings if i pick a big club are always Mauro Zarate (Argentina) and someone who he always works well with, Jefferson Farfan (Peru). Good luck getting Zarate for under £35m though :P
if im outside the prem then it will be david gray from man utd, cheap to buy and asks little wages, plus is a top performer at championship level, if im in the prem then there is no doubt about it, it would have to be steven defour, the guy is a class above considering his asking price and wage demands
yannis tafer is lyon youth product and will score 30 goals a season in the right team
Lukaku if its a medium/big club
Funso Ojo, a 17 year old centre back from PSV Eindohven. :D Great potential.
As i only ever play as Rangers...
Bogdan Stancu if i sell Kenny Miller.
Sandro if i sell the likes of Thomson and McCulloch.
Kyriakos Papadopolous if i can get him for cheap.
Andrew Driver as long as Hearts are willing to take a decent offer without wanting 2-3 times what hes actualy worth.
i always buy ochoa and marco veratti
Usually start in L1, once I am in EPL, which takes about 2-3 seasons, I immediately sign Silviu Lung Jr and Alexandre Coeff.
Oscar Cardozo if I have enough money. Not exactly my first signing in most clubs, but the first one I try to
Two cheap youngsters with great potential as well as a nice full-back if the team is not world-class.
Pejcinovic Verratti Masilela
Since I play with clubs at many different levels, there's no one player I would always sign. If I'm playing with a large-ish club I do like to sign Sergey Krivets though.
Nicolas Sanchez from River Plate. Quality centre back who will join a few teams in the BSP and League 2 and all teams from league 1 upwards. Also a quality player for most low end prem sides. he can be got for free as well.
If im a club with a bit of cash, its gotta be Dzeko or Sakho. If im lower end (league 1 or 2) then gotta get Fabien Brandy on loan, he's a beast at that level.
Usually pick up Sergio Aguero first
usually get alex smithies or jack rodwell as my first signing
depends so much on what team i play, what polcey i go by ...etc
but Gaston Fernandez and Verratti are surly two of the largest bargins there is in this game, ironicaly i have yet to use the first of the metioned two and i prolly will be reluctant to buy Verratti again since i have him at my AS Roma save (I strive to use different players for each save i play)
Assuming I start at a club he would actually go to, Marco Verratti.
Sergi. If im a club in low leagues I might use him and he'll play well. if not, I'll keep him a couple of seasons and sell him on for a few million.
for me if im at club with enough money its igor akinfeev he always a beast for me in goal
Verratti - The Next Andrea Pirlo and Aguero, the greatest signings for me ever.
Well if im in a lower league then Sean Doherty is a must, Ex - fulham left winger who doesn't mind playing in the BS North
However if i am one of the big teams then Modric and Neymar are 2 of my favourite purchases
For me its got to be Nilmar.
Neymar if possible. Otherwise I sign different people so it's not boring.
Franco zuculini, but normally I try and not sign anyone or just one to appease the fans and players and try to bring through the youth, Which I fail at miserably as I am usually at a big club and take them down a tad!!!
starting in the BSS, you can't go wrong with Barandiaran and Kouman.
Really can't see what enjoyment you get from signing the same players all the time.
It makes playing as different clubs somewhat irrelevant as the players are always the same.
Cos I'm usually a lower league club, Aimane El Gueribi
whoever is recommended by my scouts or impresses me through a trial. So not one person gets signed every time.
I intentionally try to sign different players in each game!
Eden Hazard - Quality Player
I generally start games in the lower leagues and always try and sign Vincenzo Bernardo
I usually try to sign Edin Dzeko, an absolute goal machine in any league, have to get him before he leaves wolfzburg to get him reasonably. Also Carlos Kameni for Espanyol, really quality goalkeeper.
arteta always when im not everton
On FM2007 it was always Maximiliano Oliva.
On FM2010 I've only played two saves, with San Marino and Feyenoord, so no comparison. Was Sossio Aruta (38-y/o striker) for San Marino and Guillherme Ochoa (do I need to explain who he is?) for Feyenoord.
I remember in games of old Tuncay Sanli was probably most fm/cm 1st signings as he was amazing, however he has disapointed to say the least since he finally transferred to the premiership!
otamendi and ochoa
Jovetic Sakho and Santon. After WC I now like Forlan (Despite being a LFC fan !)
Generally i go for Mads Laudrup
Rene Adler. Best GK on the game by far
not at player as such but my normal first signing is a DM/MC.
If I play with a rich team first signing is always Maicon
When I play in the A-League it is Topp and Luka Senicanen.
Someone already mentioned him, but Gaston Fernandez is the first one I get. He's actually free. Let me put it to you this way. If you are starting with a club that is anywhere from League One to mid table EPL standard, get this guy.
If I am in the lower leagues then it is Maltease international Mifsud, he is not at any club and therfore is an absoloute bargain, signed him when I was at Monza and he scored over 30 goals in the season and seemed to get only better with pressure. :)
If I am at a higher team it would be Gareth Bale, mainly because I play a 3-5-2 and he is a beast on the left wing :)
John Fleck + Danny Wilson no matter where i go!
Anderson (Costa), free player from the beginning who is very useful.
If I can afford it and don't have a world class goalkeeper already I always go for Benaglio. He's just brilliant. Plus he speaks so many languages from the start it takes no time for him to adapt to most teams.
Playing with editor-opened leagues, I started in level 8, and signed Hakim Sar-Temsoury. Quality ST who signs for free at the start of the game and led level 8 (and level 7, the next year) in goals scored.
My manager is French/British, and I have all French players loaded.
John Fleck for me - young and quality.
Not a first team regular but he can play in a few positions so is a good back up.
Depends on the team I'm managing.
