View Full Version : Playing without the CD
Im sure this is very very simple but dont want to risk anything...
Once the game is booted i.e the bit that requires the disk, am i ok to remove the disk and then use the cd drive for other purposes.
Reason being is im ripping about 300 cds to an external drive and would rather like to play fm at same time
ta in advance
not what i mean mate.. i dont want to copy the cd i want to know if the game will play happily with the cd then removed after booting..
Ive just read this so maybe you cant do what I said. I'll delete my comments.
Copying/backing up any CD/DVD is illegal in the UK, The law on CD's was changed in 2003 to bring it inline with DVD copyright protection. Sony have brough an action against a UK producer of DVD rip software as a test case
Yes, you can play without disk, however I have always experienced the need to use disk if I want to save and exit the game.
thats fine the disk will be there at all times just want to play windowed and do other things
Then yes, once it is booted and loaded you can remove the disk
