Hi lads,

just wondring if anyone has any tips or suggestions in terms of gettin the balance right over the two legs of a play off match. Its a league one playoff match starting with an away fixture for myself. Have never won in the playoffs in all my football manager history, feel free to give me some help in being successful for once!

Now this is where I'm particularly good!

Getting to the playoffs is another story though!

If you've got the home leg second, just play the away leg cautiously, and even if you draw or suffer a narrow defeat, put yourself in a position you know you can win from at home

If the home leg is first, you need to build as much of a lead as possible, and then DON'T try to smash them and finish them off in style away, especially if you've only got a narrow lead. Play sensibly, from the back, and just make sure you do enough!

How did you fair against the team in the league? If you did well in both games stick to your normal game plan. If not, like ism-scfc said alter your tactics so you still have something to play for in the home tie.
