MUFC95
I just finished my 1st season wid man city and finished 3rd after promising european football to the board. They have described the teams performance in the pl as 'POOR'! I am thinking wtf!
wanderer89
At the start of the game when it asks you for Season Expectations, did you say you'd win the title, or at least title challenge? That's the only thing I can think of.
StevoRobbo
how much did you spend? If you have spent about £200m on top of the squad you already have, they will think 3rd is not really good enough
MUFC95
I spent 60million and said european qualification
ArsenalFan7
Off topic kinda. But as you are called MUFC95 I presume you are a man united fan, this leads me to ask why are you managing Man City? Plus anyway, the man city board are harsh. I believe they will always expect 1st or 2nd
MUFC95
yeh I am a man utd fan but got bored of managing them!
wanderer89
Hmm, like others have said, probably because they have high expectations.
StevoRobbo
In your manager profile, did you have Man Utd set as your favourite team? If you did, the fans might have been unhappy with your appointment in the first place and this has rubbed off on the board.
MUFC95
No I didnt select a favourite team
jayahr
Hmm, like others have said, probably because they have high expectations. Well, if pre-season a certain goal is agreed on and achieved I see no reason why they should be unhappy with the league performance. Expectations don't go up after spending the agreed budget. The only thing I can think of may be crappy cup performances which may lead to an overall unhappiness.
dontask
man city board will have a very high ambition level so not winning things will make them unhappy with you regardless of what target you set.

emiloprisa
That's because the rich guys who own football clubs in general believe that if you pump money into the club you will automaticly win everything. It takes a team to win honors not a collection of stars. Take the Barca vs Real exemple. Wealthy people are always impatient. )

It's his game, let him play it how he wants. If he's having fun this way, so be it. Not necessary.
