Have you ever used a calculator for FM?

Now some people would think what would you need a calculator for. It's probably helped me a great deal in finding new players and probably why I'm doing better than I was doing before

well not completely like that but you kind of get it. I choose the attributes that a position needs. I times the most important attributes by 2 and then the ones that would be useful i just add up at the end. That's how i do it anyway

doesnt it take long to do or doesnt it bore you or is that how you enjoy finding players. I may give it go. Does it actually work and how has it helped you.

I find the player filtering system within the game is all that you need. You can edit and save different filters based on positions/attributes.

I use calculator only if I am bidding for many players at the same time so that I can see how much I can raise one of the bids if suddenly some other teams are interested as well

I used a calculator to equate the signing-on fee with the wages\match bonus once. I balanced it perfectly, spent 10 minutes on it, making sure that the player would make just as much with my contract-suggestion as he would with his, but he still declined.

i sometimes add up key attributes if im comparing 2 players. i dont use a calculator though as i can do it in my head

The only reason I've used a calculator is to add up all a players goals for my club in all competitions rather than just the league goals.

indeed. i find playing darts helps this (unless hitting trebles they have the same maxes)

I use a calculator to quickly calculate player ratings after 5 matches so I can comment on their form in the media, if they aren't being listed in the confidence screen (FM2010).

Calculator? No way...

I have a huge Excel sheet that I export all my players' attributes to so that I can find the average ratings for all roles / positions!

All seems very pointless.
