Outbid when buying players

Recommended Posts

Quite often I make a bid for a highly sought after player, which then triggers bids from other clubs.

However, I am generally outbid by these clubs. I then make a higher offer (effectively a re-raise in poker speak) which is always rejected and then the player joins a rival club.

Has anyone ever successfully gone back in for a player when other clubs are bidding, having had their first bid rejected?

It seems that a human manager has less chance of signing a player when becoming involved in a bidding war.

Overall great game though, having restored Leeds to their rightful place on top of the Premiership by 2015!

You should find that re-raising works and lets you get back into the bidding - I'll test here though and there may well be a 'dead spot' where the increase isn't enough to entice them to continue (which probably shouldn't be the case).
