Dumb Question from Newb

Why is my game starting the year 2008? I have a full year of no games and not much to do. This can't be right, can it?

While I am at it, I have to say this is nothing like FMH, which was simplistic and easy to learn. This is my first day with the game and I am so overwhelmed. Any tips for a first timer?

What leagues did you load and who are you playing as?

English, from Blue Square and up. I am Norwich.

Interesting issue- as far as I know, if you are playing with only the English leagues loaded you should start in July 2009. However, if you have other leagues loaded (such as Brazil) you could start in 2008. If you have loaded other leagues, check the start date before you begin your game.

Do you have any third-party databases loaded or are you playing the game vanilla? Also, did you load the game via Steam or through a disc? If you loaded with a disc, you may have to download patches and then try re-starting.

Honestly, if you're not too far into the game try starting a new game and make sure your start date is in line with whatever league you're starting in.
