Players turning into managers

Recommended Posts

Firstly, i apologise if this has been on the forums many times! . I was wandering if any of you have seen many well known players take up Managment during your game?.? i ask because on my game Sol Campbell has just became the manager of Carlisle. Pretty good for his first job.

Kevin Phillips - His home town of Stevenage!

Quite surprising as his place of birth is Hitchin, so I would imagine the game recognises this as his home town, if at all.

So just a crazy coincedence!

His assistant boss is Maik Taylor icon_smile.gif

Sol Campbell is Millwall manager

Cannavaro is now at Parma

Del Piero is the Palermo Ass Man

Paul Furlong is the Luton Ass Man

Van Der Sar retired to become a Chairman or Director, but I've yet to see him take over a club and I probably never will unless I randomly look at the staff screen

The Ryan Giggs thing is a shocker, but if i remember rightly he was first picked up on the Manchester City radar, but then Sir Alex went round to his house and persuaded him to sign for the wrong side of manchester so not so shocking for me .. anyway

Elano - Sheffield Wednesday :S

Phil Neville - Manchester U

Sol Campbell - Started at Hull City, then went to Liverpool, Now At Arsenal.

Hennning Berg has been Manchester United manager for 15 years on my game. Steven Gerrard has recently been appointed Liverpool manager after being their youth coach for several years, and a quick spell at Carlisle.

I have a bit of a rivalry going with Patrick Vieira atm he just took over the Inter job in his first year as a non player and has been doing quite well.

I took over Roma the year after Totti had retired but he won't sign for the coaching staff as he claimsit would take a very big offer to get him to sign for Roma icon_confused.gif

Sol Campbell managed Charlton in one save of mine.

As for these two, Kevin Phillips is my assistant at Mangotsfield in the game I'm playing now, and Maik Taylor was my assistant in another save!

I have Christiano Ronaldo as a coach at Man Utd.

Puyol was Bacelona manager but was recently sacked. I had him as a fitness coach at one point as well IIRC.

Raul is Real Madrid manager after being at a few smaller clubs.

Venegoor of Hesselink is Arsenal manager after being at Celtic for a few years.

There are others but can't remember at the moment.
