Gypsum's conference wonderkids Sign-up

Due to an excess amount of quality unsigned youngsters coming through the FA youth Academy, the league has taken the unprecedented step of giving 20 top youngsters the opportunity to further their careers by signing for a Blue square Premier club of their choosing. Each player will be given a 3 year contract on £200 per week (or a signed pre-contract) so that the club will benefit from having a quality young player in the squad, or they could choose to reap the financial benefits as they sell the promising youngster to a bigger club. Obviously, each choice has it’s positive and negative points. So it is up to the players to decide what will be the best move for them.

This thread will be your chance to see how your player progresses through the ranks on route to becoming a top fight footballer.

The rules/criteria for the sign up are as follows;

I will run the game in holiday mode to get through at a decent pace (particularly the first few seasons as they can be relatively uneventful). I will give brief updates as required and then have a bumper update at the end of the transfer window and end of the season. Other big events involving sign-up players will get updates as required. I plan to update the thread almost every night when possible. Often multiple times a night (Ooh err!). So keep an eye out! My updates will be headed in bold, so if you could refrain from posting in bold, it would help make the updates easier to track.

Banter, comments, suggestions etc are welcomed. I want this thread to be entertaining. Friendly competitiveness is encouraged. Unless your player is better than mine, in which case shut up about it.

Please make sure that players have reasonably realistic names. I don’t mind puns or any other witty monikers. But please don’t name your player ‘Dave the unstoppable sex machine’ and expect to be taken seriously.

However, if you wish to give your player a rather unorthodox spread of attributes. Feel free. I have given the option to select a rating for two hidden attributes so that you can also sculpt your players personality as you wish. Will you be a professional Paul Scholes, or a wa**er like Joey Barton!?

You can select any nationalities, but one of them must be an EU nation for the work permit.

CA will be set to 110 for everyone and PA will be set at -10

-You can be any position you like. (Not just strikers you bunch of glory hunters! )

-Also, you can choose to be at a club which already has someone signed up.
