*****willowlfc*****
is it possible to change the name of the leagues and cups you see within the game e.g premier division - premier league ? and can you do this without having to start a new game ? jod123
It is, as far as I know, through the use of a lnc file.

jod123
Which you need to load at the start of a new game ... Well that is not quite true. Lnc files do not appear in the game like ddt and edt files do. All you do is put them in the right folder in the database you are using. Some commands in lnc files do not work until starting a new game however. The ones to rename competitions and awards do work without starting a new game. Having said all this I have not tried it on FM10. It did work on a previous version (FM08 or FM09) though as I renamed the Euro Cup to the and it worked for my saved games as well. So I only assume that it still works for FM10.
TacticalGenius
It does work on FM10, and can be used during a save. I have a 'fixes.lnc' from one of the fansites and I put it in and once I reloaded, it showed up ingame.
