SuperGerryTaggart
This is something you used to be able to do on past Football Managers but the ability seems to have disappeared in recent editions. Have football rules changed on this or is it just FM? Currently you can only offer them a deal one month before the end of their current deal. SCIAG
You can for players in different countries to you, but not for those in your own nation. This has long been the case, and is in real life too.
RDXCougar8173
if you are referring to the playing moving on the bosman ruling then that layer you are after has to be in another country 6 months before the contract runs out and not just playing in that country on loan from a team in your country such as you are managing in England but have found a player on loan in spain but that player is on loan from an English club then that player would have to have signed for that spanish team
Indran1412
You can't offer a player contract 6 months before their contract ends at England. I think this rule was implemented by FA to prevent player poaching. Not sure though.
