Juan
Sorry for seeming a bit newbieish, but I just got this (for the first time in my FM career), and thought it was a nice touch. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Curious thing is, my formation didn't look much like a 4-1-4-
Graham FM
what formation did you use in that game?? do you always change around formations??
Juan
For the first season, I used a lopsided 4-4-2 diamond with one of the forwards turning into an AML or R for pretty much every game where Ronaldo was available and in good condition (as the inside forward is a role tailor made for him in my system). After getting some signings, I have been alternating between that, 4-5-1 and 4-2-3-1, depending on the situation. For this game I used my traditional diamond formation, with one of the fullbacks (Marcelo) pushed into WB L, trying to anticipate Las Palmas' defensive 4-4-2. On the previous game (return leg of the Champions League quarters, against Arsenal) I used an attacking 4-2-3-1 (the one the game reads as 4-3-3) as I was looking to overturn a first leg deficit. ronaldo_rooney
Not seem this before. I tend to use a tactic for the entire season, only changing if I buy players over the summer that call for a formation change. I have had success in past FMs playing different formations, but this one seems easier if you keep the consistentcy.
