speople
Just wondered if new rivalries can be created, maybe by consistently slagging off the manager/club who you play against as regards press conference answers and pre match winding ups etc. Does anyone know if this can be the case ? The Lambs
I 99% sure rivalries between teams are static not dynamic. So while it is possible to get an opposing manager to hate you, all that seems to do is get him to reject your offers for players. That is one of the few things I would like to see added to the next game.
Oypus
I'm pretty sure The Lambs is right. However, you can do it with FMRTE easily, if you feel like using that.
Cougar2010
I have heard reports of it happening but not seen it myself. This could mean any of the following: A) Doesn't happen B) Extremely rare C) It happens through managerial comments which only a minority of users use on a regular basis
uusinjsh
A) Doesn't happen
Quads
Pretty sure that could happen on FM007, but not on FM10. FM07 > FM10
AB-forever
Pretty sure that could happen on FM007, but not on FM10. FM07 > FM10 You mean that version where you had license to kill? To get back on topic: Another user suggested this a while back and I thought it was a great idea. Split rivalries into two groups, geographic and positional rivalries. The geographic ones would be static while the positional ones would change over time. For example, if Manchester United were relegated to the Championship and Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool kept on fighting for the Premier League title, that rivalry would slowly disappear especially if Manchester United stayed down for several years. On the other hand they would still have a fierce rivalry with Manchester City.
