stupid things players do

Is it me or do players do some stupid things during the game e.g. my goal keeper gets the ball on the corner of the box throws it the other side of the box leaving an open goal and then the left back chests it down and it falls straight to the opposition feet and all the have to do is put the ball on target from 18 yards to score

Yeah probably the most annoying thing about the game. Its lead to a few smashed mice over the years.

In my game my goalkeepers have this annoying habit of letting weak shots bounce off their hands into goal, or coming too far off the near post and letting in a tight angle goal from the byline.

And just the other day one of my defenders headed in an own goal off a teammate's back!

Unrealistic.

Actually, the first 2 scenes you described just happened in the world cup. Rob Green's mistake and Maicon's goal last night. I'd say thats fairly realistic.

My idiot keeper decided, in the final match of the FA Cup in the 89th minute no less with us winning 1-0, to make a nice save and then dribble the ball straight to mid-field. He was promptly tackled by the opposing striker who easily walked the ball in for a goal and the tie, and we end up losing in ET.

I cut him the next day and ate is 259,000 buy out.
