re-installing football manager on upgraded laptop

Recommended Posts

Afternoon, not sure if this is the right forum for this, but, I am upgrading my laptop to Windows 7, so will obviously lose Football manager etc and it will all have to be re-installed

What is the best way to keep all my database changes etc etc

I have all patches and have edited (quite heavily) the latest patch file and saved it as a different name

Is there a way to keep exactly the same editor ?

Cheers

Copy all the files the that you have already in the program files/steam folder and all the files in My Documents folder and the hall of fame.dat file on to a external hard drive. Once you've installed win 7, and installed FM10 just copy back with the files you backed up. There could be an easier way but that's the I would do it.

I do not use, and didn't install with steam.

So, do I just need the folder in my documents and Sports Interactive ?

Nothing else ?

i.e. are there anymore files on my computer anywhere which I might also need ?

Do I not have to save anything via the editor ?

Thanks in advance

Editor files are in My Documents. If you want to keep your hall of fame, copy the hall of fame file. That is in a different location.
