I get offered a player. I offer the same amount they asked for. They reject, and at the same time, accept identical offers from everyone else. I lose the player.

Years, and years and years of this. So tired of it.

Do you put in a bid using the news story, or do it separately?

i.e. do you look at the proposal using the buttons when you get offered the player, or do you click on the player then make a bid and put the amount in?

I use the news story. Are you telling me doing something that moronic will fix it?

I've never once had this problem, if I get offered a player I just use the news story button that says view offer then click accept without changing anything. Have never had my bid rejected.

I always do that--and ALWAYS end up getting rejected. Mya game is in 2040 and 100% of times this happens. Very stupid.

I'm in 2030 and it NEVER happens to me. Most odd.

Perhaps you should bug it with a saved game as evidence? (if it hasn't already)

Are you on 10.3?

Make sure your offer is nob-negotiable. The same happens when I offer players to the AI the offfers I get are non-negotiable. If they weren't I'd try to negotiate a better deal.

I actually get this quite a bit too. Considering how long its been an issue with the game, I figured it would already be being looked into, so never even thought of checking the bugs forum.

I am still on 10.2 though, don't want the 10.3 patch. But it was never mentioned as fixing this, so I'm not sure whether it'd make any difference either.

I get this problem constantly. Very annoying. I'm in 2035 now and whenever i get offered a player i always reject it (even if i want him) as i know what will happen.

It also seems to happen when i approach players without the news feed... offer a non-negotiable price - always the asking price... mine gets rejected, but others accepted.

Something that is often overlooked is that AI clubs sometimes make "value + clauses bids" whereas users often only bid a certain sum. So the AI clubs offers might still be better and this is why your offer gets rejected.

Maybe you have a time deadline in the bid, like "today" or "1 week". Often the clubs reject if you use this in your bids.

is the publicity of the transfer deal option still available? i remember being able to make the transfer deal either public or private. is this has any relevance mind you.

I second this. Never had a bid rejected when I matched the asking price and set non-negotiable.

It happens from time to time, i also see (maybe more frequently) my bids rejected for a player when other teams (lower) bids are accepted, this has been in the game since i started playing (FM05). Its either a bug or the A.I's doing naughty things.

I've had this once or twice. I don't know what causes it though.

do you think we should be able to see in detail what the other teams offer for a player. At the moment all we see is say £5m + clauses. The total deal could be £55m for all we know.

I know in real life we dont know exactly what another team offers but for the sake of a game do you think there should be a bit of leeway?

The is because you ask them to respond to your offer immediately. If you bid the requested amount, but leave it to indefinitely, they will accept it.
