JBoyd33641
I just took over the French national job. I only speak English as of now. Can I learn French? Will this just happen in time if so?

It happens fairly quickly - I managed Holland for a year and I am now fluent in Dutch.
CFish
Staying on the language subject and not having to create a new thread. Is it possible for any player to spend a number of years and never speak English. Ive got Javier Acuna who speaks Spanish and he;s in his 4th season now with Notts County but still doesn speaky the lingo. Still plays mint like! Had Vincent Accapandie(spelling) for same period(who isnt half as good) and hes happy speaking English. im assuming its got something to do with Adaptability. Sr. Luria
Yes, Adaptability plays a big portion in learning another language. I have an italian youth regen who is a killer striker but because of his Adaptability of 5, he will never learn Spanish.
Kenco
I don't think Beckham ever learnt Spanish (in fact he still struggles with English).
The Lambs
I don't think Beckham ever learnt Spanish (in fact he still struggles with English). Beckham is pretty fluent in Spanish, but clever enough to know that if he spoke it in front of the press and made a mistake the press would be all over him like flies on poo. He also learnt Italian pretty fluent in the short time he played in Italy.
SCIAG
Beckham is pretty fluent in Spanish, but clever enough to know that if he spoke it in front of the press and made a mistake the press would be all over him like flies on poo. He also learnt Italian pretty fluent in the short time he played in Italy. Similarly, Jimmy Kébé speaks good English, but "forgets" it around the press so he can avoid them.
