Is it just me or are shots never deflected in?

Hi,

Just noticed something about FM, which is that it is very rare for shots to be deflected into the net in game. This happens quite a lot in real life, but I don't see it in the game. Has anyone else noticed this? If so, will it be changed in FM11?

I see them fairly often, they get called as own goals in my game. Probably had a dozen this season.

I always feel I get more deflections against me than for me, but of course that's just observer bias.

I'd have to go with this as well. If it happens often or not compared to IRL I could not say, but it sure does happen.

Didn't see a deflection in a while now.

What I've noticed is that quite often a long-range effort will take a very large deflection and yet the commentary responds as if it is a clean screamer with no deflection involved.

I'm the same as macster - I don't see many deflected goals.

There's a lot of deflections that goes in on my game.

Annoys me a bit that most of them are counted as owngoals whether they should or not, no matter if it is a tiny tiny one or an obvious one.

I don't see any deflections in my save! Ive never actually saw a deflection on FM. By a deflection I mean when a player shoots towards goal, hits an opposing player and wrong foots the keeper and goes in. Never seen it on FM! Looks like I'm the only one...

It's definitely you. I've seen them from open play and from set pieces, like the kind where a player would hit a freekick, then it would deflect from the wall, wrongfoot the keeper and go in.
