Rejecting feeder club in the same league

Hi. I am playing as Udinese and one of my feeder club (Ascoli) managed to make its way to Serie A. I am trying to move some of my players to Ascoli in order to develop my players and help Ascoli stay in the league. But despite the players' intention of going on loan, they persist to refuse the contract offer from Ascoli which is also in Serie A. What do they expect? Being loaned out to Real Madrid? Is there a way to deal with this situation? Btw, I tried to change squad status.
