Guy Smiley Posted June 4, 2010 Share Posted June 4, 2010 I was just offered a new contract for 3 years, but it made me wonder: if they can sack me whenever they want, and I can resign whenever I want, what significance does the contract length have at all? The longer your contract and the higher the wage the more the clu has to pay you to terminate your contract. Give me a chance to leave the club at the end of any season without being plonked on their hated list and ruining any achievements, also in journeyman careers it means clubs will have to pay less compensation, as said above.
