Panophobic
I was listening to a CD this morning when the track suddenly stopped. I assumed that the problem was a mark on the disc so I removed it and cleaned it. When I replaced it, the drive refused to acknowledge that there was a disk present This means, of course, that when I try to insert my FM10 disk I won't be able to play the game either. Is there a work around until I can get a new drive delivered and fitted? I don't want to lose a 35 year, very enjoyable save over this. Is it possible to link the game to Steam somehow given that I installed it without Steam?

The Lambs
As a long shot, if your DVD drive is a Toshiba, double check the drivers are up to date. I had exactly the same thing happen to me on a Toshiba laptop. When I checked the system settings the DVD drive had the yellow exclamation mark next to it. I updated to the latest drivers and rebooted and it has been fine since.
