Youth leagues/cups

Recommended Posts

I'm still hoping that one day there will be more youth in the game, meaning of different ages. This has to be combined with a slower rate of development of course to stop them becoming too good too soon. At least as far down as under-15s together with national teams in that age. Because that is where they first really start playing international football. So you would start by getting regens of 13 or 14 years of age. Maybe once every so often you could organise talent days where someone would pop up.

Something I also still like to see is having youth players pop up at the lower leagues, because not every player starts at Chelsea or Man Utd etc.

absolutely - I think there should be youth camps and centres of excellence etc.

And they can have under-16 stats. Like now you can have silver star ratings for kids.

Like a 12 year old has "youth" stat of 20 for finishing. When he turns 16 that turns it senior stats and it may be 13 with a chance of improvement.

One hears of a lot of kids going to academies in low teens but there are heaps that don't bob up untill ater.
