The thing is, only decided to sign the contract on the day I was asked to pick my squad, I couldnt select him!

IRL, the blame would be with the player for not getting through the paperwork quick enough. Club officials and agents all would have explained the deadlines that needed to be met to be registered but in the game, the player is already after falling out with me.
