The host of WC2018 is...

Recommended Posts

China is not that much of a suprise to host the World Cup, the Olympics proved they can host a good event and they have a team that is on the up and they wouldn't need another nation for a split bid like Holland/Belgium, Spain/Portugal, Japan/S Korea etc

Because they always seem to come up short IRL

I'm sorry, you're thinking of another country, probably Spain or England. Germany come up short less than any other side. They are famous for never coming up short.

From Wikipedia:

Germany is one of the three most successful national teams at international competitions, having won a total of three World Cups and three European championships. They are also one of the most consistent teams. Aside from winning three world and continental titles, they were also runners-up three times in the European Championships, four times in the World Cup and won 3rd place in the World Cup three times as well.

First of all they have never won WC as united country and haven't won Euros since 96

Australia got the go ahead on my game, which was interesting.

thats even more surprising considering we dont yet have enough world class stadia built yet. Are they planning to build any in the game. Don't forget Australia is bidding for 18/22 fingers crossed.

Sorry but Germany (united or not, they still use the same pool of players) are always there or thereabouts - even when they have a struggling side.

Euro 96 is not that many tournaments ago - considering there's a major one once every two years.

What a load of nonsense. Germany are the tournament team. They had a relatively poor team at 2002 and still made the final. Before the Ballack loss they'd have gone far this year too. His loss along with too many goalkeeper losses means they may struggle but they will still perform better than anyone thinks. Its in their mentality to perform when it matters most.

Blatter wants it to go to Europe so he can go 'different' in 2022 (Qatar, Australia maybe). It would be impossible for SI to program the inner workings of FIFA completely, FIFA change their minds with the wind and with whatever option makes Sepp and Jack Warner the richest.
