I currently Use an Eee PC Netbook, now i know what your saying... " a netbook just wont be the same, less power etc." but to be honest, its not bad. And with 8 hours of battery life I can fit in a season without a plug. its only got a 1024x600 screen but it can be compressed, or at least accounted for and a dual core processor. The 3d engine can be a little jittery at times, but if a new model comes out that should be adequate

I realised a lot of people play FM on an Eee PC too.

Mine would of cost a couple hundred quid. No idea how many Aussie dollars that is.

$1500: http://www.onlinecomputer.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=3104

$2000: http://www.onlinecomputer.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=3512

For the extra $500, you get a better graphics card to run graphics intensive games in high/maximum detail with enhancing mods on top most likely, although the cheaper one will still max out FM, and more RAM. Although FM can't use it yet, it means you can run more programs at once and maybe get better FM performance in future versions.
