Idea for FM201X - Tribute Games

Hello my friends,

Yesterday i was reading the news about the tribute game that Sporting Lisbon organize to his former captain Ivaylo Iordanov, and i started to thinking... what an excelent idea to implement in FM.

Imagine this...

In the end of a season, you get the news that your player (your captain, or an important player) is leaving the the game...

Then you will get the option to organize a tribute game to him. Your team, would release a press note informing the football world that player X is retiring and that a tribute game would be organize in his honor in the date Y.

In the following weeks players from all around the world would informed your club that they would be available to participate in this game.

Of course, the type of players that participate in the game should very in conformity with the reputation of the player that is gonna retire.

If the player who will retire as a local (or national) reputation then only player from his country would be available.. if it was a player like (for example Messi or Ronaldo) with an worldwide reputation, then player with similar reputation would be available.

Then the game would be organize with your team againts "players X friend team".

Apart from the games that you get the chance to organize for player in your club, others clubes, in others leagues would to the same. So you will get to decide if you let yours players X Y and Z to participate in the tribute game for player B.

After that, some extras could happen. For example... if you are a manager with a good reputation, you could be invite to coach the "players X friend team"

Another thing that could happen, is some retired players being available to participate in the game (for example... a future tribute game to David Beckham.... and Roy Keane release a press note saying that he would be avalaible to participate in the game).

And, another thing. When you are responsible to organize the game, the feedback from the supporters would have an impact. For example if you organize a game for a player, and the supporters didn't agree... the local media you to reference to that. If they agree, then the confidence would go up a little bit.

Well, this is the basic idea! What do you think? IMO this would give the game one more realist feature.

Thought it recently too because everybodies favourite hitman Kevin Muscat is having his testimonial.

Would be great to see retired players stats. like all Physical stats 1 hehe. Condition, 50%. Although some like Maldini would go OK
