The Lambs
'WP' is Work Permit. You have signed a player who did not qualify for a work permit in your country, you will need to loan him out to your work permit feeder club until he gets eligible to take citizenship, this is usually 3 years depending on the country. When you signed him you WOULD of received a message stating that he had not been granted a work permit, but you could still sign him and loan him to your feeder club. As this message looks similar to the standard work permit granted message, it is is easy to miss.
joe11anfield
Ok Cheers
michaeltmurrayuk
You can also try offering him a new contract as this will get him to reapply for a work permit, but if he doesn't get one you'll need to loan him out to another country - either a high reputation club (so he may get capped and thus get a work permit) or a country with the least time required to gain nationality.
