Academy players only option?

I was looking through the editor forum and was thinking it would be very fun to play a game where transfers were not allowed and you could only use youth players.

So therefore the whole transfer system would be disabled and you had to work with what you had. It would be like a "city league" basically, similar to International competition but cities instead of nations.

Would you enjoy to have this option? Or perhaps be enabled through the editor?

Enabled through the editor perhaps but not as an option in game. I don't want SI wasting time making gimmicky fun challenges.

Could you not do this if you say had a squad registration like the following:

- Register a maximum of 25 players.

- 25 players must be homegrown by club.

I don't know if this is doable in the editor though.

Both are doable in the editor: The removal of the transfer window could be done without having to remake all leagues. The player limit would require remaking all leagues.

Or you can just do a transfer embargo-file.

Could you technically do a transfer embargo for every single team? Would there be a simple way of doing this? (and not having to go through every team)

I believe people have tried this before, and after time, teams start signings players anyway, and 'embargo's dissapear or get removed eventually due to takeovers and stuff.

I would enjoy a game edit like this for a short term game. Ipswich have a good academy so i would be happy.

Does anyone know how to do this right?
