How easy is it to transfer saves onto a new computer.

Recommended Posts

Basically my old computer broke so I bought a new laptop. The old computer has been sent off to a specialist because my uncle (who built it) can't figure out how to get our files and stuff off it (has some sort of virus). Now, when I get my old saves back is it as simple as just putting them in the correct folder to get them to work?

FM09 btw if that changes anything.

my documents/sportsinteractive/games/your save game name (depends on computer/wondows etc)

Save the game onto a memory stick etc and paste it into the games folder on your new computer.

Thanks. I'd need the correct patch aswell, right? Think it was 9.0.1 or 9.1.0. It should be on the desktop somewhere so i'll ask them to save that aswell.

Yeah make sure the pacthes are up to date - but as long as your new laptop has the up to date patch you should be fine. If the save game had the more up to date patch and the new computer did not have the up to date patch then it would not work - so as long as your new laptop has 10.3 then would be the best and easiest thing to do.
