save will not load!!

is it possible to retrieve a save , i have been doing really well with my rotherham save the suddenly my laptop crashed, now when i try and load that particular save it says will not load.

i just wondered if it was possible to retrieve the save somehow

Do you have any other versions of the save e.g. (v02), (v03)?

Unless you have the rolling autosave feature enabled then your probably out of luck. You should probably check your hard drive for errors. What were you doing when the computer crashed and do you have other things running at the same time as fm.

If you use Win Vista or 7, you can use the "Previous Versions" feature. Go to the save file properties > Previous Versions tab > check whether you have any files in it. If you have then roll it back, it might work.

Previous Versions basically as you can tell roll the file back to the save before your most resent save.
