Limit is needed on console games because console manufacturers (Sony/Microsoft etc) want a specific end point to the game where it finishes. Obviously the 30 season limit is implemented by SI based on data and memory etc but you can start another game in a different save slot once you have completed 30 seasons. Mightyowl28 Posted February 18, 2007 Share Posted February 18, 2007 suppose you could also look at this from a realistic point of view... even if a someone (eg; a player) moved into a management at 35, its unlikely they'd still be managing 30 years on at the age of 65!!? SI Staff Marc Vaughan Posted February 20, 2007 SI Staff Share Posted February 20, 2007 Console titles have to be passed by the console manufacturer, this involves them repeatedly playing the title to 'completion' - obviously this implies that the game has an 'end' to it somewhere. In prior surveys of our users very few reach 30 seasons in a single game so it seemed a reasonable cut-off point (and as has been mentioned is pretty realistic) ... we also do our best to make things interesting at the end by providing stats and a summary of your career etc. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
